BOAT RIDE WITH LEMON AND MALCESINE BREAK
If you stay at Glocal in Torbole, you are at the perfect starting point to experience Garda in the most authentic way: gliding on its waters.
Forget the car and the traffic of the Gardesana; let yourself be guided by the slow rhythm of the waves and the winds that have bewitched poets and sailors.
Here is the "cult" itinerary we recommend for an unforgettable day among medieval villages and the scent of citrus fruits.
β΄οΈ Departure from Torbole: the wind in your hair.
Your adventure starts just a few steps from the hotel. Getting on the boat in Torbole means embracing the entire northern basin with your gaze. As the boat pulls away from the pier, watch the surfers dancing with the Ora (the afternoon wind) and the sheer cliffs falling into the blue.
π° First stop: Malcesine and the Scaliger charm.
In less than 30 minutes you'll reach Malcesine. This village is a maze of cobblestone alleys that converge on the imposing Scaliger Castle.
What to do: Climb the castle tower for a 360-degree view.
Glocal tip: If you have time, Monte Baldo's rotating cable car takes you to 1760 meters in a few minutes, but for today let's stay "feet on the ground" so you don't miss the boat ride to the Brescia shore.
π Second leg: Limone sul Garda, the village of longevity.
Crossing the lake to the west, the landscape changes: the rocks become rougher and the historic lemon houses appear. Limone sul Garda welcomes you with its Mediterranean microclimate and flowery alleys.
Don't miss: A visit to the Limonaia del Castèl and a walk on the famous bike path cantilevered over the lake (it's spectacular on foot, too).
Shopping tip: Extra virgin olive oil from Garda and natural lemon products are must-have souvenirs.
